My Work
Eduardo "Eddy" Chavez is a humanist with extensive experience as a professor, an executive director of a multi-million-dollar program in higher education, and a consultant, as well as a manager, producer, artist and creator.
This combination of managerial expertise and artistic sensitivity has provided him with a keen talent for deep research and analysis, and the ability to identify organizational obstacles, propose effective solutions, and guide projects to their successful implementation.
His passion for nature, combined with his studies in the humanities, supported his professional career as an administrator, educator and advocate for social justice and equity. He spent most of his professional life as the Executive Director of the Refugee/Entrant Vocational Education, Services and Training (REVEST) Program at Miami-Dade College. During his tenure of 28 years, Mr. Chavez oversaw federal contracts that served over 75,000 students, while managing over $140M in funding. His leadership and team-building capabilities transformed REVEST into a community icon, and the starting point for political asylees and refugees throughout the region. Eduardo is proud of his years at the head of REVEST, as he was fully dedicated to providing educational and humanitarian assistance for the large refugee population in South Florida.
Eduardo has also served on the advisory board of "FUNDarte", a non-for-profit organization dedicated to producing, presenting, and promoting the arts internationally. He has also served on the board of the Florida Center for Survivors of Torture, and Earth Learning, a pioneering organization in the efforts to bring ecological awareness and sustainability to South Florida.
Eduardo is available for Consulting and Production Services. See contact info below.
His alter ego, Eddy Chavez, indulges in the joys of creativity, which include music composition and production, photography, writing, drawing, and other pursuits like hiking, horseback riding and sailing.

Music, drawing, photography, painting, writing are my most common ways of putting out there what comes to me, from some heart somewhere.
I'm very happy to share some of my creations with you. These works, only ready to be presented here, are open to collaboration and expansion to their ultimate shape. I, limited by so much, could only take them up to here. I'd love to work together, if it is to happen!
If you like what you saw/heard/ felt and would like to embark in taking these creations to the next level of production, send me a message about your plans, and I will get back to you soon!
THANK YOU for VISITING MY WORLD.
